El Patrón Cycling was set up as a platform for my pro cycling betting previews and as a creative outlet during the first UK Covid lockdown in 2020.

I’m a keen but very amateur cyclist. Intermittently, I’m the Strava ‘Local Legend’ on some of the hills around Surrey. For the uninitiated, this is a rolling digital award for the most rides on a Strava-registered segment or climb. It’s very much not an award for the fastest time on them.

In real life, I’ve worked for UK bookmakers and sports betting tech companies for over 20 years.
